Anti-Shivalingam
What’s wrong
with the man of this country?
With phalluses grown all over his body
he is on the rampage
pouncing upon women and girls.
He is bent on crushing them.
He has grown thorns of phalluses
on the barren slope of his body
abominably rich in cultivation.
He has grown phalluses on his forehead, in his eyes,
on the nose, lips, chin, chest, palms and the backs of his hands.
He has become the man of countless phalluses
But he knows nothing about the Shiva’s Phallus.
He is ignorant about the fertile myth of the Bhairava.
Otherwise,
he wouldn’t have thus grown an anti-Shiva phallus.
He sees vulva in every woman’s face,
even in their breasts
where their hearts beat.
He sees nothing but vulvas
in all parts of a female body.
He has not observed Freud’s mind,
Let alone Vatsayana’s subtle feelings.
He cannot understand the poetry of love-making
sculpted in the temple walls of Khajuraho,
Or else he would not have grown
the horns of phalluses on his head
that makes him look so ferocious.
Now, even one of his ears is spared
from being transformed into a phallus
O, Poet!
Read him a beautiful poem of love.
Tell him the story of Laila-Majnu.
O, Singer!
Sing him a song of love
to stir his soul and sensibility.
