We extend our heartfelt thanks to all the poets, writers, reviewers, and translators whose work has made “Summer Horizon: The Sixteenth Edition of Life and Legends” possible. Your contributions continue to enrich the magazine and deepen the literary conversations we hope to share with our readers.
This edition includes a special feature honoring Jack Foley, published on the eve of what would have been his 86th birthday on August 9. Jack was a valued friend of Life and Legends and a generous supporter of Silent River. We are delighted to present this feature as a tribute to his life, friendship, and remarkable literary legacy.
We are also pleased to feature some powerful poetry, poetry in translation, alongside essays, interviews, and book reviews that bring together a wide range of literary voices and sensibilities.
We also want to make an important announcement. Although Life and Legends has been published as a quarterly magazine, we will now move forward with three editions each year, following the rhythm of nature and allowing winter to be a season of pause, reflection, and renewal for ourselves. Therefore, there will no longer be a Winter Edition. Following this Summer Edition, we look forward to our Fall Edition and to returning again in Spring.
We remain grateful for the trust of our literary community and for the opportunity to continue creating a space where poetic and literary voices from across the world may meet, converse, and be remembered.
