April brings Poetry Month, and with it our Spring 2026 Edition. We extend our warm greetings to all our readers, writers, and the wider literary community. In this edition, we are proud to present a rich selection of features, including conversations, reviews, and poems that reflect diverse voices and experiences.
We are also delighted to share that Life and Legends is now a member of the Community of Literary Magazines and Presses (CLMP). This marks an important step in our journey as we continue to build a space for meaningful literary exchange. We will soon be opening our next call for submissions on Submittable, and warmly invite poets, translators, and writers to send us their work.
As we present our 2026 Spring Edition, we remain mindful of the world around us. Ongoing conflicts and wars continue to affect countless lives, often in ways that remain unseen. In this context, Martin Willitts Jr.’s, work and his conversation with us stand as a quiet testimony to the cost of war and the weight it carries across time. Poetry may not stop war, but it can bear witness, preserve memory, and remind us of our shared humanity. From wherever we are, as writers and readers, we can continue to speak with honesty, care, and compassion.
We hope you enjoy reading our Spring Edition and send us your testimonials.
Wishing you all a season of reflection, creativity, and renewal.
