SOME REPREHENSION

I

One day
standing on the bridge of detachment
she flung me into a river unknown,
without any shore, boat
or any straw for me to clutch at.

Swept away by the currents
almost breathless,
I yet wait for her to
extend me her arms
in a time undetermined.

II

I’m not sure,
what magic trick she preformed that
I turned into a kite

and by tying with the string of her love
she made me fly
all over the sky
up to the seventh heaven of her desires.

Then she turned me into a parrot
and made me dance
on the palm of her hand

only to set me free one day
by telling – come back
after a while,

now I’m neither a parrot, nor a kite,
I’m just a wounded bird,
unable to create a nest
or able to fly,

struck by an abrasive string of
a kite.
