After a two-year of pause, reflection and transformation, Life and Legends returns with “Autumn Renewal” — a theme that celebrates the cyclical nature of human experience, reflected in art and literature.
Founded in 2014 with a mission to build bridges between languages and cultures, Life and Legends has published the works of more than 759 poets, writers, and translators from 148 countries, including nominees for the Nobel Prize in Literature, recipients of the Pulitzer Prize, Poets Laureate of the United States, and many remarkable emerging voices.
Now, in 2025, Life and Legends begins a new chapter under the umbrella of River Paw Press, following the dissolution of the Silent River Film and Literary Society. This relaunch marks not merely a continuation, but a renewal of vision; a reaffirmation of our enduring commitment to cross-cultural dialogue, literary excellence, and the celebration of world literature.
Under its renewed editorial direction, Life and Legends will not only focus on poetry and translations, but also book reviews, author interviews, and literary features that illuminate the work of contemporary poets, writers, and translators across the globe. The magazine’s heart remains where it has always been — in fostering meaningful literary exchange, uplifting authentic voices, and creating enduring bridges among readers and writers worldwide.
As we step into this season of renewal, we express our deep gratitude to our contributing editors, Candice Louisa Daquin and Tulasi Acharya, whose dedication and support have helped shape this relaunch and the evolving mission of Life and Legends.
